Emtek #8 Style Brass Deadbolt

Standard Brass Deadbolts, from Emtek, featuring:

• Standard Schlage "C" Keyway,
• Solid Brass Cylinder, Collar, Housing, and Rosette
• Hardened Steel Bolt
• Standard Door Prep and Installation

NOTE: Low Profile style has a projection that is about half as much as a typical deadbolt.

• Extension Collar for Thin Doors shipped with every Rope and Low Profile style deadbolt.

Backset:

Backset: In the U.S. there are two common backsets for residential locks, 2-3/8" and 2-3/4". The backset is the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the 2-1/8" bore hole. Bore a 2-1/8" hole through the door. The center of this hole should be located 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" back from the edge of the door (this is the backset dimension).

Cylinder Option:

• Single Cylinder- The deadbolt is keyed on one side, requiring a key to lock or unlock from exterior and usually a thumbturn or pushbutton to unlock from interior. Single Cylinder is used in most residential locations.
• Double Cylinder- The deadbolt is keyed on both sides, requiring a key to lock or unlock from either side. In some locations Double Cylinder locks will not pass code.

Keying Options:

• All Keyed Alike- All deadbolts with be keyed with the same key code. One key will open all deadbolts.
• All Keyed Differently- Each deadbolt will be keyed with a different code. Each deadbolt will have it's own separate key.
• Custom Keying- Provide your own 5 digit key code, to match existing locks.
